Presentation

If, when you think of a holiday in Brittany, you think of Finistère, and if you are not averse to a small touch of luxury either, then you’re bound to love Les Embruns, a 5-star family campsite situated in the heart of the village of Pouldu in southern Finistère.

The camper vans also have a service area. In addition, here you will find a very wide choice of 2 and 3 bedroom mobile homes, including the very luxurious Taos. The campsite is spread over 3.5 hectares and has 76 ‘grand comfort’ camping areas for tents and caravans. They each have a water supply, waste water drainage and a 16 amp power supply. There is a service area for camper vans, too. The campsite also offers an extensive choice of 2 and 3 bedroom mobile homes, including the brand new and luxuriously-finished Taos cottages.

When it comes to swimming… the choice is yours

It would be a shame not to go to the beach when you spend your summer holiday in Brittany. And you’re in luck! The campsite is just 250 m away from fine, sandy south-facing beaches. And what’s more, for the 6th year running, the commune of Clohars Carnoët / Le Pouldu has received the international Blue Flag for excellent sea water quality.

If you don’t feel like leaving the campsite, you can go to the water park instead. There you’ll find a 28° heated indoor swimming pool, a paddling pool for the little ones and for thrill-seekers two new Pentagliss water slides. If you have an overwhelming urge to laze around between dips, you can simply sunbathe at the poolside under the straw parasols.

Boredom is banished !

Whatever your age and the time of day, there’s bound to be an activity for you. Children will be able to invent wonderful stories and enjoy a variety of experiences when they take part in the different workshops on offer or go on treasure hunts, have picnics and play games. They’ll visit the animals at the mini-farm and see ponies Maddison and Twist, pygmy goat Ebenn and her babies Coco and Noisette, and Caline, Triskell and their daughter Avenn, the newly-arrived miniature donkeys.

For older children there are playgrounds and a games room, a multi-sports pitch, a pétanque court, table tennis tables and a free mini-golf course, etc. A dance evening is organised every week. If all this isn’t enough, there are other activities on offer near the campsite, such as the sailing school, the canoe club, a surfing and paddleboarding school, diving and sea fishing.

A space for focusing on yourself

The wellness centre also adds a touch of luxury to the Les Embruns campsite. It has a gym equipped with all the apparatus required. After a good workout, it’s time to relax and enjoy the benefits of the dry heat of the sauna or the steamy heat of the steam room. After a lovely cool shower, place yourself in the hands of the masseuse who will completely re-energise you. And as a final touch, a visit to the on-site hairdresser.

Restaurant

‘L’Escale Gourmande’, our restaurant, bar and pizzeria, opens at the start of the Easter holidays and featuring on the menu are a variety of pizzas, meats and specialities. The takeaway service includes cooked meals, pizzas and chips at lunchtime and in the evenings.

Discover the Region

Discovering the region

Le Pouldu is a delightful seaside resort situated on the Finistère border. It is separated from Morbihan by a small river called La Laïta. When you go out of the campsite, you can choose one of its three sandy beaches, or go for a quiet swim in the many sheltered coves or walk along a magnificent coastal footpath (start from Gr 34) which follows the jagged coastline and offers you fabulous views.

If you go a little further afield, you can explore the ten steeple parish, Clohars Carnoët and the authentic and mysterious Saint Maurice Abbey. Take a walk through its ancient forest, the setting for countless tales and legends. Go further and visit little harbours like the one at Doëlan, which comes to life with the daily sale of the inshore fishermen’s catch. It’s the place to go if you fancy a plate of still wriggling langoustines or different types of seafood.

Thanks to its geographic location, the campsite is a great base for touring around the whole of southern Brittany during your stay, yet without spending hours in the car. Visit Quimperlé and its narrow medieval streets, Pont Aven and its art galleries, the beautiful walled city of Concarneau, Quimper and its Breton heritage, the Isles of Glénan, the Pointe du Raz headland and Brest. Heading towards Morbihan, let your imagination fly in front of the rows of standing stones at Carnac, the wild Quiberon coastline, Morbihan Bay, Groix Island, the Ile aux Moines and Belle île, etc.
