Peaceful holiday in Languedoc

In Vias, a stone’s throw from the Mediterranean Sea, this luxury campsite has large pitches for caravans, camper vans and tents. For holidaymakers who wish to stay in a holiday rental, there’s a wide choice between upmarket mobile homes and comfortable cottages with their own terraces. These air-conditioned, fully equipped homes are a great place to stay for a pleasant holiday in Hérault.

Energising activities

On one of the most beautiful campsites in France, the pool area has a paddling pool and two-lane slide for children. Direct access to the beach is just a stone’s throw away.

Children can enjoy lots of creative circus-themed workshops at the mini-club and children and teens’ clubs. There’s a wide variety of other special activities for them, including inflatables, trampolines, trapeze and juggling.

Grown-ups can look forward to an energising holiday with tennis, aquagym and other sports. Treat yourself to a bike ride or horse ride and explore the area around the campsite.

Before a lively night out, you’re cordially invited to dine at the campsite restaurant. Enjoy Mediterranean flavours on the terrace, where you can watch shows and concerts until the end of the night.

Must-see destinations

Don’t leave Languedoc without first visiting its inland area. Follow the cycle paths along the Canal du Midi and the banks of the Hérault, to visit Béziers, Pézenas, the ramparts of Carcassonne or the medieval village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert.

Cap d’Agde

Cap d’Agde is a very popular seaside resort in the Hérault department. Some 20 kilometres from Béziers, this major tourist destination is surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches, making it one of the most highly rated spots for holidaymakers in France.

Cap d’Agde is famous for its many events and activities, and especially its nightlife, as well as sea sports, including jet-skiing, water-skiing, sailing, etc.

Magnificent countryside landscapes

The Languedoc countryside is full of magnificent places to visit. With its vineyards, lavender fields and beautiful historic monuments, the Languedoc-Roussillon countryside is one of the main attractions of the region. Among the places to see, don’t miss out on Carcassonne and its medieval town centre, St Guilhem le Désert, Valmagne Abbey, Pézenas or the city of Montpellier.

Canal du Midi

Built in 1681, the Canal du Midi is one of the marvels of the south-west of France and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Running from Toulouse to Sète, it runs across the countryside and through beautiful little villages. The nine locks in Béziers and the lock in Agde are very impressive and are only 20 kilometres from Cap d’Agde. Cycle paths run along parts of the canal for several kilometres, making this a much appreciated place for bike rides.
