The Verdon Gorges

A natural border between the Var and the Alpes de Haute-Provence, this sublime turquoise ribbon threads its way along impressive walls, which can exceed 500 metres in height.  Three roads rising up in a cornice reveal its wonders, from the great blue lake of Sainte-Croix, towards La Palud-sur-Verdon and Castellane.
