Presentation

On the seafront, facing the archipelago of the Golden Isles, discover the 166 top-of-the-range accommodations at Salines. Surrounded by sun, pine trees and palm trees, it's an ideal and unique destination for relaxing with family or friends, as well as enjoying a host of entertainment and water sports activities.

You will be staying in the superb setting of the Giens peninsula, located in the Var department, 8 km south of Hyères-les-Palmiers and 26 km south-east of Toulon. This open-air hotel is nestled in the shade of a pleasant 10-hectare pine forest, bordered by the idyllic sandy beach of La Capte. Between the sea and the salt marshes, Salines**** is part of the Collection Rivages group, which includes 4 other fine addresses: Le Phare, on the Ile de Ré, Sauvage, on the Quiberon peninsula, Rives d'Arc, in the Gorges de l'Ardèche and Les Maritimes, in the Landes (www.collection-rivages.com/fr). Harmoniously integrated into their natural environment, the aim is to offer a new concept in open-air accommodation, combining comfort, the discovery of new, top-of-the-range experiences and respect for the land.

The local diving school takes you on unforgettable discoveries of the region's exceptional seabed. You can also hire boats without a licence and go sailing in the surrounding area.

Discover the Region

It's easy to explore the neighbouring islands of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant, preserved by a national park, by boat. Underwater, in addition to the posidonia meadows, there is an abundance of life, including octopus, groupers, sea urchins and scorpion fish.

And don't forget Hyères, with its 7,000 palm trees and its Ville d'Art et d'Histoire (Town of Art and History) label, founded by the Greeks over 2,400 years ago, as witnessed by the archaeological remains at Olbia. You can also admire the ramparts of the medieval town, the Templar tower, the collegiate church of Saint-Paul, forts and batteries, the modern villa Noailles... many fine buildings constructed in the 19th century to keep up with the climate.

Admire the stars from the Pic des Fées observatory. Stroll along the Maures massif and the wild Mediterranean coast towards Le Lavandou. Push on to the naval city of Toulon and the panoramic heights of Mont Faron.
