Wonderful holidays in the Vendée

Near some of the most beautiful fine sandy beaches along the Côte de Lumière, this luxury campsite to the south of Saint-Jean-de-Monts invites you for a unique break in the Vendée. Luxurious cottages and wooden chalets are available for rent. Some of the rented holiday homes have terraces from where you can enjoy the natural surroundings.

 

Excursions and activities to fill your days

The water complex has three pools together with five water slides and a paddling pool with water games for the children. A balneotherapy pool has been installed in a Mexican setting with massage benches around a Mayan pyramid where you can relax and recharge your batteries. Geysers and water jets are also part of the scene.

You can have an action-packed holiday with all the activities and excursions on offer. During your stay in the Vendée, you'll be able to try out diving for the first time, take part in sports competitions, and enjoy mountain biking or aerobic sessions. Not far from one of the most beautiful campsites in France, try your hand at crazy golf or horse-riding, or visit the marshes in a canoe.

Children are welcome at the playground and the kids' club. Fun hands-on activities and shows for the little ones liven up their stay in the Loire region. In the evenings, the film club and kids' disco keep them occupied while the adults have themed evenings, games and concerts.

Discover the Region

In St jean de Monts, in the pays de la loire, Acapulco Campsite beneits from an ideal location to discover the littoral and its hinterland.

 

Saint Jean de Monts is surrounded by 8 kms of sandy beaches. This seaside resort, as well as the entire littoral of Vendée, benfits from a favored climate. The Vendée  is called Light coast. If you like nature, have a walk near the marshs. The Marais de Poitevin (green Venice) is the a damp region like Camargue and is the biggest marsh of West coast. Feel free to rent a barque to discover the entire wildlife.

From Saint-Jean de Monts, go to Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Fromentine or Barbâtre to joint Port-Joinville, harbor of Yeu Island, ten miles away from the coast. Rent a bike to discover the wild side of  the island. The Grand Phare, with its 201 steps, offers a fascinating view of the island and Atlantic Ocean.

Another point to discovber is Noirmoutiers. When it’s low tide, you can discover the Passage du Gois, which was,formerly, the only path to join the continent before the construction of the bridge in 1971. This bridge, offers an amazing view of the various landscapes of the island. .

 

The Hinter Land

In the hinterland, you could find several points to visit. La Roche sur Yon (one hour drive from the campsite) will seduce »green tourism » seekers. Hiking and cycling paths allow the discovery of the area. La Maison des Libellules, The Mill of Rambourg, The Stud or The Maison Renaissance coul be one of the spot to go. You can also go the typical Vallée de l’Yon and have a snack along the watercourse.

Nantes is an other attractive point to visit (1 hour drive from the campsite). Next to the Cathedral et Château des Ducs de Bretagne, have a walk in the medieval districts of la Juiverie and Bouffay. Travel the Loire by bike thanks to a 800 kms cycling road. It joins Cuffy to Saint-brévin-Les-Pins, pedal along the Loire, biggest river of France.
